When the elephants try to cross the National park boundaries into famers' lands to eat crops, bees attack them which save both humans and elephants as they do not get into conflict. Elephants remember and won't return! Bees also produce honey, which benefits local communities as a much needed income. This has proven as an extremely efficient way to protect wildlife and communities, and as a result is a project that will be replicated to other parks.
Beehive in Tanzania
The beehive is not a good that you will receive by the post. It is built and installed in Tanzania to support the charity project that saves Elephants from the human/wildlife conflict. However, should you wish to visit the project and see your beehive, please let me know and I can arrange your trip and visit.
