Journeys with Purpose

If you are reading this blog post, I already know that you care about wildlife, environment and making a difference. But are you also an enthusiastic adventurer who wants to travel to some of the most beautiful places in Africa while giving back?

If the answer is positive, then I have some very exciting news for you! Read on…

With Wild & Free being a small charity, I am always open to new ideas and meeting like minded conservationists, adventurers or African lovers is always going to strike a cord with me and inspire me. Meeting all three in one person is very special.

So when I met Carla Geyser at the Adventure Travel Show 2020 in London in January this year and heard about the Blue Sky Society Trust and her expeditions called Journeys with Purpose (#JWP), I knew that we needed to find a way of working together. And we did!

Thanks to Carla, and you if you join one of her expeditions, there will also be funds raised for Wild & Free. All you need to do is tell Carla that you discovered her journeys via Wild & Free (or Geraldine Morelli) if you choose to embark on it.

Carla is an extraordinary, energetic, passionate and positive woman that will draw all your focus on how she makes a difference while travelling to unique places with her charming South African accent. It is also her who leads the expeditions that bring together like-minded people from around the world on trips that focus on visiting and raising funds for wildlife initiatives along the route.

What exactly are those Journeys with Purpose?

Each Journey is a different fundraising expedition and only 10 people from around the world will get to experience a life-changing African adventure in 2020. Each expedition raises funds for an organisation and the donation is already included in the cost. There are currently four eco-adventures to choose from in some of Earth’s most awe-inspiring, natural places. Exploring wildlife and conservation gems in Botswana, Zambia, South Africa and Mozambique, these Journeys with Purpose (#JWP) are for those who love the idea of eco-warrioring in pristine, untouched beauty, camping out, long dusty drives, searching for the Big 5, spectacular sunsets or cruising down a mighty African river.

What and when are the next trips planned?

Click on the link of each expedition to read more the details, and be quick to reserve your place as the number is limited:

How are you helping Wild & Free by going on a Blue Sky expedition?

In the most simple way: if you choose to book a Journey with Purpose, let Carla and her team know that you discovered it via Wild & Free charity (or Geraldine Morelli) and let me know too if you can. Carla will make a donation for the referral via Blue Expedition Society Trust.

Why is it a unique opportunity for you?

You will truly have an experience of a lifetime: living in the African wilderness, seeing its natural beauty and incredible wildlife is a magical experience that will leave you with some of if not the best memories of your life. Participating to wildlife conservation work is also a unique experience that will make you appreciate what it takes to save African wildlife. And travelling with like minded people will create bonds that you will cherish forever - it always does in Africa.

You will genuinely do some good by helping to raise much needed funds for the carefully selected organisations on the ground that save African wildlife.

But that’s not all, you will also support Wild&Free projects elsewhere in the world with extra donations at no cost to you.

Are you ready?

An adventure of a lifetime with a double action for wildlife conservation worldwide? This isn’t very common as I’m sure you’ll agree.

All you have to do now is check the projects on Blue Sky website (https://www.blueskysociety.org/expeditions/) and pick the one you like the most! I will also be updating you as new ones become available. Don’t forget to mention that you discovered the expedition via Wild & Free (or Geraldine Morelli), and let me know about it. Simple!

If you have any question, please do not hesitate to ask me or contact Blue Sky Society Trust directly.

Many thanks in advance for caring for wildlife and wild places,

Geraldine
